take your next step

Your life is like a journey. There are many parts to your life's journey such as family, career, and health. We believe that your faith is an integral aspect of your life's journey. Everyone starts in the same place: sinners - undeserving of grace and unable to reach God's standard. However, God, through the sacrifice of His son Jesus, has made a way for all of us to begin our faith journey. Wherever you are on your faith journey, whether you have yet to start it or have been walking with God for a long time, we would love to walk with you. At BBC, we desire to lock arms and take the next step together.

salvation

The most important step you can take in your faith journey is a step into a relationship with Jesus. Jesus is actively pursuing you and wants to bring freedom to your life. Freedom from shame. Freedom from hurt. Freedom from the long list of things that separate us from a relationship with the creator of the world. There is no promise of a challenge-free life, but a relationship with Jesus allows each of us to experience the love of God as we walk together. Through the love of Jesus, we are powerfully made new. We are able to develop as individuals as we grow in a transformational way to be more like Jesus. Through this transformation, we are given gifts of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control. This transformation starts with a relationship with Jesus.

BAptism

Baptism is one of the first steps of obedience that Scripture requires following the establishment of a relationship with Jesus. Baptism, as an outward symbol of an inward change, is administered to those who give a public profession of faith in Jesus Christ. It is an ordinance (i.e., a rite or ceremony) commanded by Jesus in Matthew 28:18-20. While the act of baptism itself does not produce any spiritual change, it is meant to display a believer’s salvation and mark a mutual commitment between the church community and this new follower of Christ. We believe that God honors our obedience to the principles and patterns clearly stated in Scripture, and that immersion—while it may not be the only valid form—appears to be the form of baptism most consistent with what is seen in Scripture, and the mode in which our Savior Jesus Christ was baptized.

Membership

Part of the faith journey is connecting with a group of believers who will encourage and challenge you in your transformational growth. The Bible calls this group of people the church. It is the people, not the building, that make us a church! At BBC, we ask our members to make a commitment to being a part of the mission of the church while we make a commitment and do our best to minister to our members and equip them for their faith journey.
